Monumenta Historica Societatis Iesu (MHSI)
Begun in Madrid in 1894, the Monumenta series was established to provide printed editions of primary sources relating both to the "Old Society of Jesus" (before the general suppression of 1773) and the correspondence of its founder, Ignatius of Loyola.
With the eastbalishment of the Institutem Historicum Societatis Iesu (IHSI) in 1930, responsibility for the series was transfered to its headquarters in Rome. Today, there are over 150 volumes in the series.
