In 1998, Thomas McCoog, S.J., sent questionnaires to all Jesuit provincials and regional superiors, requesting information on the location, historical background, conditions of use, acquisitions policy, and contents of Jesuit archives. This guide contains the fruit of those queries and is an invaluable resource for historians, linguists, theologians, philosophers, and scientists. Each reply is published in its original language (English, French, Italian, German, or Spanish) as well as in an English translation.
